Contribuiți la feedbackWe stopped here a few days ago for lunch. It was a quiet afternoon and we had our pick of seats so we grabbed a table in front of the windows so we could watch the going's on of Green St. We had an awesome server and he recommended the tasting plate to start, it was pretty good and some things we enjoyed more than others. We both also ordered cheeseburgers with bacon, my husband ordered the double and I ordered the single with an order of fries. We both enjoyed our burgers without any complaints at all. For our drinks I ordered a mixed drink and my husband wanted beer (his usual choice of drinks). For the beer menu we had to use the QR code to see what was available, it turned out to just be a picture of the taps. So we enlarged the picture to see it better, but they didn't have the one he selected so our server ran down the beer selections and unfortunately they mostly have IPA's (not a fan), but he was able to settle on something. My drinks were very weak. I'm typically a 2 drink person and I had my usual 2 drinks and absolutely no little buzz at all and this is the first time this has happened in a long long time. The restaurant was nice enough inside, but the music was very loud rap music. The music being loud or being rap wasn't the problem, it was the amount of expletives in it. Now I've been known to drop some F bombs here and there, but this was just way too many to listen to. I'm happy I tried out the Hangover Pub, but we probably won't be back.
Uh oh, we might have just found a new go-to local pub for food. First, totally random Star Wars painting on one wall (see pic), when I asked about it I was told, we 're all kinds nerdy and love that movie , I 'm VERY OK with that! The service was GREAT! John was very welcoming to us newbies , and honestly the whole staff couldn 't have been nicer. Now the food, damn! Started with some really tasty roast pork and shrimp fresh rolls. Nina had a really good ramen dish (they also own the the restaurant next door called Broth and serve their food too). And HAD to try their Nashville hot boneless chicken thigh sandwich with kimchi pickles and a spicy sauce, my mouth was buzzing, it was SO good! Can 't wait to go back for brunch (this Sunday) and my next dinner trip for the rest of the menu that in dying to try.
Phenomenal place!! The outside is very unassuming (they should do something about the locked up door on one side, it can give the illusion that the place has closed down) but the inside has a cool rustic bar feel... The food? MY GOODNESS, delicious doesn't do it justice We started with the Black garlic tomato soup, creamy and robust flavor that made us ask for bread so we can sop it up and clean the bowl The garden salad was light and fresh and delicious The chicken and waffles was of course the star of our meal. Perfectly fried chicken breast (though the menu said thigh), tossed in a hot honey glaze, over a perfectly cooked waffle, candied bacon, and a sunny side up egg. I've never had a hangover but if I did, it seems like this would be the perfect comfort food or for anytime... HIGHLY recommend!!! Loved the place so much I came back again the next day to try the fish and chip, a large piece of fresh haddock beer battered and fried to perfection, delicious French fries that were homemade and not frozen... fresh tarter... another wonderfully delicious selection. Next time, I have to try the ramen
Had a hipster brunch at the Hangover Pub, even though we are far from hipsters. We were there when it opened and a smell permeated the location that must have come from the local dispensary. Lord knows where it came from but it was not unpleasant. That said we grabbed a table by the window and ordered up a **** Mary delish and a Mimosa that really hot the spot. Wanted another but had a big day planned so we stuck with one. The Spicy Duck Ramen was a delight, just enough spice to keep it interesting and a wonderful mix of duck, bock joy scallions and broth. Everyone at the table tried it and liked it. The Chicken and waffles were also a hit, as was the avocado toast. The Hangover Bacon Brussel Sprout Hash was the only slight disappointment with way too high of a potatoes to Brussel sprout ratio...but we are big Brussel sprout fans. The interior had a gastro pub vibe and plenty of on street parking as long as the WOSOX are not playing. Come here to be cool and hang out for brunch. Loved it!
Four of us visited this bar after an afternoon WooSox game. The interior is very dark with interesting artwork on the walls. Our table was very wobbly. The menu is filled with creative takes on standard bar food and Asian treats. They also feature an extensive list of beers, including lots of craft beers. The execution of our order was not great. Two of ordered sandwiches included French fries. The fries were limp and greasy. The chicken sandwich tasted stale as if it had been sitting around awhile. My burger was okay but the bun was soggy and did not hold together. The crab Rangoon pizza had great flavor, however, it was cut haphazardly and was awkward to eat. The staff was super friendly. They were busy and we had to wait quite awhile to get our second round. We'll be back for drinks and a second shot at the menu. Maybe we'll try the ramen next time!
