Matsos Family - Wooster

My kids and I tried to eat there on Saturday June 29, 2024, but it was closed. We wondered why. My kids had wanted to tell Spiro about our recent trip to Greece, since he had given us recommendations. Today I learned that Spiro (the owner) passed away that day. I guess it was kind of fitting to that we were thinking of him. RIP Spiro.

Google shows that it is open after 3pm Tuesday through Saturday. It is only open Thursday through Saturday. It's my 4th try to get there when I'm in town. Very frustrating.

Been going here for years ,owner is personable and kind ,he makes amazing food .Portions are very large and delicious.we live going when we have time we trade books about one block away and Eat ,at this restaurant on a half day or longer trip to Wooster Ohio..We will keep going back.My youngest sister and my brother in law,who don't live in my city ,they go as well

We’re so happy we finally tried Matsos! The food was delicious and the portions are very generous. We ordered a pita pizza to split as an appetizer plus our meals came with salads and garlic bread we were stuffed before our meals even came out! Mr. Matsos is such a pleasure to talk with! He’s so welcoming and kind. It’s very impressive how well he runs his business and makes it such a personal experience. We can’t wait to go back and try more!
