To get him off our backs we agreed his suggestion of a mixed non-vegetarian platter. The cutlets on this platter were burnt and had that horrible stale taste, and the kebab was overcooked. It is supposed to come with mint but we were charged extra for it. We ordered the goat curry and the saagwala. I should have smelt a rat when the waiter insisted that we add some meat to the saag. I love saag. It is a creamy spinach spicy dish; it does not need meat! Once again to humour him I said we would have it with chicken. Just as well, because the sauce was exactly the same as the goat curry. It was not a saag! We also ordered pickles and raita but they did not arrive until we complained. We ordered plain rice but we got biryani as well as basmati. The buttered naan was slippery and mushy. There were two poppadums sent to the table before we had read the menu, so I assumed they were complimentary. Oh no. We bought our own bottle of wine. Nothing on the menu about corkage. All this came to $92.00. I did not want to cause a scene so I paid. It should have cost about $75, according to their on-line menu. And on top of this rip-off, the place is charmless and cold, with tiled floor and no accoustic treatment of walls and ceiling. It was a really dreadful experience.
Ordered several dishes but the butter chicken caught my eye. I had a taste and time stopped. Now i'm a butter chicken addict. 9.?/10 would become addicted to butter chicken again ;)
My delivery took 1 1/2 hours; an hour later from approximate delivery time. Mango Kulfi dessert came in a small sauce size container, but was $6. This is my first time using this restaurant and I am not happy after the price I paid.
We ordered home delivery from this restaurant. I wish there was a lower score than 1. The food was one of the most inauthentic Indian meals that I have ever had. We ordered two mains, three breads, rice with two drinks and it came to $65, expensive for bad food that was not editable. The vegetables in the vegetable korma were like they were straight out of the freezer and the sauce, don't even get me started, let's just say it was horrible. The other main was as unpalatable as mine was. Their breads were close to raw, they were very doughy and terrible tasting. Their rice was greasy and far from the flavourful rice that was promised in their menu. We were quoted a time that the delivery would take place and they were 40mins late, two follow up phone calls to the restaurant where they assured that they were almost there and on top of it all they delivery person didn't read the instructions that were asked for and given. It was such a shame as we were really looking forward to a nice Indian dinner. Avoid, even if you end up eating nothing. No Indian I know would eat the meal that was delivered. So disappointing.
We're regulars here. The food is lovely. The only thing that let it down tonight was the naan bread. It was just a bit doughy. Normally it's not like this.
