Very disappointed by eating and service went on a Wednesday night before st. george open air ins restaurant above and it took more than too.
They can judge this pub not only on the basis of his appearance from the outside, because as soon as they enter them feel as if they were in a restaurant with suave! the kitchen has run.
I ate here on a Friday evening with my wife and son. The decor is fresh and as per my review title we enjoyed the food, wine and service. However, it was a bit a noisy. I know it's a pub and it was a Friday night but the wooden floors and the absence of a wall between the dining room and the walkway to the toilets and outdoor area meant that it was louder than I would have liked. That said, the menu has a good variety to choose from, my mushroom starter was delicious and the wine list offers a good reasonably priced range of wines by the glass. I would return but would ask not to be seated near the toilets.
Situated close to the water in Wolloomoolloo, Sydney, this is an established pub that has undergone a very nice renovation. Seating outside, inside, out the back in a courtyard plus a terrace so very spacious. There is also a restaurant and a lighter "bar" menu. The drinks here are very expensive and the major reason why I would not be tempted to return. $4 for a glass of soft drink from a gun is daylight robbery. The wines, while of decent quality start at around $50 a bottle. The food menu in the bar is more a snack menu and averages $15 a serve. There is street parking available.
