The Riverside - Wooler

Revolting food and service. Arrived and asked for Avocado and scrambled eggs on toast. I was offered guacamole which I was happy with. Took over 25 minutes to get food, no drinks served in this time. When the food arrived the muffins were not toasted, the guacamole looked like vomit and the eggs were stone cold. It was that bad, that I couldn't even eat the beans on toast replacement that I asked for when I raised my concern about the avo monstrosity as I felt sick. We had to ask for our drinks and the tea was hideous. Literally tasted like it came from a gutter. This place is horrible. Absolutely ghastly.

Called in for a coffee, very friendly and helpful staff, surprised how big inside was, swimming pool, arcade and concert room just off the bar area, they cater for a camp site, but was quiet as end of season. Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
