We visited the restaurant as a group of 10 (with my family; with kids). We arrived later than the time we reserved the table. I called to let them know; they had no problem with it with a very friendly voice. When we arrived, we received a very warm, friendly welcome for their servers. The food: to our surprise, was very good. The baked brie and the clam chowder were really yummy. The crab cake we order was a bit salty. The entree we ordered include turkey and brie sandwich, seafood crepe, chicken and mushroom crepe, maple BBQ ribs, and pastas for kids .... mmmm they were huge portion and very delicious. I particularly like that we had some salad and a piece of cantaloupe. We had no room for dessert with such large plate of delicious food. When we go back to Peterborough, for sure, we will go back again.
My significant other and I had dinner at this restaurant. The food was delicious, but the service was a bit slow. It seemed like they were not prepared for how busy they were on a Tuesday night. Despite the wait, the duck was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be coming back to try more dishes.
We arrive by boat to this place from a cottage about 10 minutes away we had no idea what to expect . Our friends has been to this place a couple of times and love it . We brought 2 bottles of red wine with us - there was a $20.00 corkage fee per bottle which was fine and I would recommend doing the same thing, there cheapest bottle was $43.00 and not the best. We sat on the screened in porch with was nice and cool , keep in mind this is a old building which no air conditioning. We are friends also tell us is to make a reservation , this place is the best around. OK the food was awesome , I had the pickerel and it was great and cooked perfectly. We had 3 desserts which where fabulous and a great finish to a awesome meal. Great place this summer for sure . Mike from Waterdown
I took some friends out for dinner in Lakefield on short notice. I checked for restaurants and our first choice didn't take reservations but sounded promising. When we arrived 30 minutes later, we found out there was a 30 minute wait for a table. We tried our second choice, but they were fully booked. They gave us helpful advice on an alternative in Youngs Point. We tried one more restaurant in Lakefield, but they were also fully booked. So we headed to Youngs Point and found the perfect spot at the Old Bridge Inn. We sat outside and enjoyed the sound of the nearby river, later taking a walk to the lock. It was a delightful experience.
