This place keeps serving good food year after year with pleasant waitresses. Nothing fancy here but the food is plentiful and good. Almost like mom cooked. Breakfast menu and lunch menu.
It's great. A local haunt where people come for good food. Bacon and eggs. Not fancy, just good. Packed on Saturday morning with people just sitting and talking. Good quick service, endless coffee, if you come for the decor, don't come. If you come for the atmosphere, good on you. The floor has a tilt to it and the building shakes a bit when a truck goes by. It's noisy too, lots of laughing, earnest hand gestures and lively banter. $5 for breakfast. How can you go wrong?
This restaurant has been established for many years and we always stop in when in the Woodstock area. Today, we enjoyed their delicious, home-made chicken-rice soup with a wholesome western sandwich. The sandwich was a challenge to bite into as it consisted on a minimum of 2+ eggs with onions and vegetables added in. we were amazed with the huge-sized sandwich and then choose to add a dessert to complete the meal. we were pleased again with the meal, service and quality of food received.
I enjoyed the Chuckwagon 45 years ago as a child and I still enjoy it today! As an authentic dinner experience that can be found today.
