Chef Soon Contemporary Sushi

The portion size of the sushi at this restaurant is incredibly small. Each piece is tiny and can be counted like grains of rice. The prices are also quite high, starting at $4.50 for the smallest roll. The freshness of the fish leaves much to be desired. The maki rolls are bland and cater to a standard American palate. They are overly sweet with an abundance of sauce and lack any other distinguishing flavors. I ordered a total of 6 rolls (1 basic, 2 special, 3 signature) with at least 10 pieces of sushi, so it was not a satisfying sushi experience. It felt like I was trying a new dish, but it wasn't even traditional sushi or maki for that matter. Overall, the dining experience was underwhelming.

We have come to this place before and have never been disappointed. The service is excellent and the sushi is top-notch. Be sure to try Chef Soon's special or the summer roll - you'll definitely be coming back for more.
