Rib Ranch Barbeque - Woodland Hills

Service and atmosphere is great. If I was just rating the food though it would be 2/5 stars. The meat seems like it isn’t marinated and has no flavor unless you put loads of the store bought bbq sauce on it. The meat was watery and the bbq sauce was not good at all, but better to add that than have tasteless meat. Mac n cheese was some of the worst I’ve ever had. Beans and coleslaw were not homemade. I don’t like writing bad reviews because I loved the atmosphere and had a good experience while I was there (minus the food. But from someone who comes from North Carolina which has some of the best BBQ, I am a really harsh critic and still have yet to find any good bbq here.

Update: based on other critical reviews here, it seems these issues have been happening for years. I don 't understand the positive reviews at all. We ordered to go food once and it was pretty tasty. We decided to dine in Tuesday night and it was a WHOLE other experience. The kids working there are really nice but the operation wasn 't professional and the food was mostly bad. Our waitress was very polite but the quality control wasn 't there. When I was a waitress, there 's no way I would have accepted the food that came out of the kitchen here. It never would have hit the table. My boyfriend 's sandwich came out cold in some spots and warm in others. It was supposed to be hot. The meat was dry as well. We sent it back and they returned with a new one. The sauce on my chicken was pretty good too sweet and mild for my preference, though). The chicken seemed promising but the two big wings were just skin-wrapped, meatless bone covered in BBQ glaze. Corn is easy, right? Nope. My corn was old, squishy, and flavorless. I 'm certain the mashed potatoes were made from dehydrated flakes, too. I 'm not exaggerating here. It was one thing after the other... Even butter patties were rock hard and the corn muffins were day olds dry and tough). I barely ate only half of my food even though I was hungry. Such a disappointing meal for both of us. Also another family have been waiting for someone to greet them for a while. They asked us if anyone had come out and eventually the husband had to talk to someone in the kitchen to get service. Also there was no music playing. There was some strange talk radio station playing, however. Barely audible. Odd. Gave the impression they didn 't really care about their guest 's experience. Like I said, the people are nice but the whole operation seems to be a mess. It 's unfortunate because the place has so much potential. I wish we could come here often, have drinks on the patio, listen to live music, etc... Please fix your management issues. Until then, we won 't be back. :

This charming restaurant is a hidden gem. Featuring live singers on the weekends, we had a delightful evening sitting under the trees and enjoying a delicious meal. The sausage appetizer was a standout, and the ribs were absolutely delicious. The only downside is the limited parking. The staff was friendly and well-informed, making for a great dining experience. Perfect for a romantic date night, despite its small size, it is definitely worth the wait. This beloved restaurant has been a local favorite for years - be sure to give it a try.

The beef ribs, y'all. The BEEF RIBS!!!! I'm a Chicago girl, and these ribs BLEW MY MIND! They tasted like the ribs from my family reunions back home. I love trying ribs in different places, and I must say, I never expected to find this in California. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop through!!

Absolutely amazing the waitress was wonderful the music was great the food was fantastic of nice relaxed atmosphere in the middle of the city literally light going to a taste of Texas a true 5 star
