Country Cottage - Woodburn

We went to a big holiday sale in a kindergarten and my daughter found this place online. The four of us are from different areas and like to try local places when we come together. I didn't know we were going to a senior restaurant. The environment was clean and tidy and the menu varied with decent prices. We all have something different and the whole food was good, but not great. I have a wonderful raspberry tea. The big problem was the service. It's not a huge place and there were two waitresses. We rarely saw our waitress and until we had sunk on her to get a box, she hadn't come back after she delivered our food. We were all from our drinks and everyone had at least one free refill due. When I tried to pay the other waitress, I crashed into me and didn't even say sorry. It was okay because I was with who I was, but not a place I would recommend.

I often had the oriental chicken salad. That was the worst. The cabbage was shrunk even finer than in-law. It used to be slit. The knights and almonds were mischievous and had the stingy taste and smell. They were almost unavailable. Dressing was different and tart and oily. The chicken was ashamed and cold. Worst salad. Is there a new cook????

Country Cottage Restaurant is great! My hamburger was perfect. Fries was one of the best I ever had! My wife had Californian chicken burger and daughter had Chicken Burger. I tried a bite of everyone and was somehow jealous I didn't order what they had!!! I recommend the Country Cottage Restaurant!!!

We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent food served in this restaurant and the surrounding area overlooking a golf course. Recommendations from our server have been made delicious! My only disappointment is that I had not made a room for dessert for different cakes in the house. Very recommended!!

I was there Tuesday afternoon and had early dinner. Pork chop applesauce, baked potato, etc. Pork chop was so thin overcooked it was difficult to cut! Would have been difficult to cut a pork chop any thinner?.! Vegetables were cold. Coffee was lukewarm. But the baked potato was warm and nicely done. Have come here for years and have always found the food to be quite good. Not this time! Sad! Serving person was attentive and did her job well.
