The Summerhill Resto Pub Patio

This former pub has been extensively renovated. The upper dining room and the lower pub are have a fine dining ambiance, with the pub having a more casual atmosphere. There is an outdoor patio associated with the pub. The quality of food was outstanding. My rack of lamb was superb. My companions had Coq au Vin and a beautifully prepared Icelandic cod respectively. All dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented. Portions were generous and small complimentary appetizers were a nice touch. Our server, Jessica, was warm and welcoming. She provided an added touch of class to a very pleasant evening. People in Nobleton, Schomberg and surrounding areas should cherish this gem of a restaurant!

I found this restaurant after a Trip Advisor search for a location somewhere between where our in-laws live and us in Toronto. We came upon Schomberg and the Summerhill Resto Pub. It was an easy half hour drive from Toronto. We were a table of 6 plus a baby. We were greeted with Mother's Day mimosas, which was a lovely touch. Our server was excellent - very accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. The menu choices were plentiful, something for everyone. I had the fish of the day - rainbow trout in a coconut curry, which was excellent. The ribs were enjoyed by two people in our party. The only negatives we had were that the eggs benny were slightly undercooked and the pasta of the day was pretty simple and could have had a bit more complexity in the flavours. Other than that, we were very happy with our experience and certainly plan on returning.

The Summerhill is a lovely restaurant upstairs with a great pub downstairs - the best of both worlds! It may be a little off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. We were a party of 6 adults and all our meals were excellent! I can personally recommend the French Onion Soup and the lamb loin (with a hint of curry) - both delicious and presented beautifully. I have no doubt you will enjoy the dining experience as much as we did.

The meal was divine and the presentation exquisite. The service was impeccable. I would recommend and return.

Had a wonderful date night at Summerhill. Shrimp appetizer was to die for, and both our entres were delicious. Upstairs ambience is beautiful and downstairs pub style is cozy and comfortable.
