Contribuiți la feedbackWhen you walk into Akita, you are greeted with modern and new furniture that isn't too loud. A waitress promptly seats you and brings drinks soon after. I have visited Akita many times with both family and friends, and I find it to be a great choice due to the All-You-Can-Eat option or a la carte menu. There is a variety of sushi and other dishes that can cater to both sushi and non-sushi lovers. The waitresses are efficient, and although some selections may take a bit of time, it's not a problem when ordering different dishes each round. I also appreciate not having to pay for uneaten sushi pieces.
First time dining here and we got our sushi craving satisfied. Actually happened on this restaurant by chance as we originally intended to try out Hai Sushi but couldn't find it (closed?! . We opted for a la carte instead of AYCE. We ordered the salmon and beef bento boxes (summer . For $10.99/bento box, it comes with the standard salad and miso soup. Service was very fast but we came during dinner off hours so that may not be saying much. We were quite happy with our food but we are definitely not sushi connoisseurs. My salmon was a tad dry but that tends to be a common observance with sushi restaurants. I liked how I was able to substitute my salmon rolls for California rolls in my bento box, nice courteous touch. Overall, we're happy to have discovered a new Japanese restaurant in our neighbourhood. Next time, we'll return to sample the AYCE menu.
I took my children to this restaurant and found it to be quite expensive. While my family is not of Asian descent, we often shop at T&T and have enjoyed sushi from there in the past. I assumed this restaurant would offer similar affordable and convenient options, but I was disappointed to find the prices were high. The value for the cost was not great. I would recommend trying T&T for sushi and other Asian foods instead.
I brought my friend, who loves sushi, to Akita for the first time yesterday at the Woodbridge location and it was delicious! The rice was fresh, the rolls were of excellent quality, and the service was great. Akita used to be my go-to spot before I moved away, and while we usually go to an all-you-can-eat sushi place closer to home, I had forgotten how tasty Akita's food is. You must try the spicy crispy crab roll... wow! If you're okay with a subtle spice, you won't be disappointed. I give it 5 out of 5 spoons.
Not bad but ginza is way better. I've never been to Akita for all you can eat (I usually go to Ginza but I have gotten crispy spicy salmon takeout from akita. The sushi was made to order quickly and it was really fresh. I really enjoyed it because I was having a crazy sushi craving but the problem with their crispy spicy salmon was although tasty, it was almost all crisy (ie. tempura and hardly any salmon! It was good but not good enough because the salmon pieces were small. I also wouldve preferred a spicy mayo but they seem to use a different kind of hot sauce. The other problem is that it seems to be low quality Hard to digest (and i know this because hours later i was still burping with the sushi taste in my mouth and this has happened on more than one occasion with their sushi only. <br/ <br/ Anyways, it did well to satisfy the craving for me but not nearly as good as Ginza
