Folks Coffee - WONTHAGGI

Loved the arancini and salad. The coffee, smoothies and thickshakes were great. The staff were friendly and it is now our equal favourite place in Gippsland (with the Cape Tavern). We will try the burgers net time as they looked fantasic!

Ordered pea and ham soup. Coffee was great but the soup although green in colour, lacked the flavour of pea and only a hint of ham with small chunks of what tasted like processed ham. I’m not sure who thought that Parmesan cheese would be a good garnish. Sour cream and Parmesan completely overwhelmed the flavour of the soup. Best to stick to Granny’s recipe next time. And get rid of the chipped bowl! ?

The best coffee to enjoy before saying goodbye! We definitely need to sit down for a meal during our next visit to Wonthaggi. Edited 09/28/2021: We returned for breakfast on our 25th wedding anniversary, and the food was just as delicious as the coffee. I can't recommend this place enough!
