Jasmine Rice 2 Modern Thai Cuisine

Be sure to reserve your table! We arrived midweek to find the restaurant full with two large groups waiting to be fed. However we were welcomed and we soon were enjoying a lovely meal. The decor was plain and simple and tables fairly close together. All the meals were well presented and served with a smile. BYO is an option.I can recommend the duck green curry

Had lunch menu, basil chilli chicken. Well presented, chicken very dry tasted as if it had been added already cooked to stir fry. Otherwise very good value.

Really yum authentic thai food, price not too bad either. Right next door to hotel food was ready in 15 mins.

I visited this restaurant many times and found that the food, the service are good, similar to Jasmine Rice 1 and Carnation in Wollongong. I like Thai beef salad with grilled beef marinated in the special sauce. It has changed the name from Jasmine Rice 2 to Royal Thai Cuisine recently.The most important thing for us is there is plenty of free parking space around the restaurant as it is a bit remote from the centre of Wollongong. However, the price is not as expensive as many restaurants on the Keira Street, while the quality of the food is comparative.

We stayed at the motel and ate here one night when we were too tired to go searching. It's the type of restaurant you can get dressed up for or just go casual and nobody minds. We didn't have a booking but they were happy to accomodate. The food was amazing! Definitely trythe soft shell crab.
