Contribuiți la feedbackI fought with a group here, hadn't been before. first a little disappointed to order, as some things are not on the menu and also a Saturday night. but the meals we had at the end were high quality beautiful meals....Can't blame them. they were prepared like a high quality restaurant. not a cheap pub meal, but it was error-free.
I went with some friends to dinner, of which they recommended the hotel illawarra. the restaurant is located in a pub, but the facility and surroundings were nice to eat. we shared a pork belly bao from which the aromen were very nice. but a very small amount of sponge bell dice and blown up. the bungalow was the largest component and took away from the aromen of the star ingredient of the black bell. for the first I went with the bark cakes that were cooked to perfection and just fell apart. I just thought the portion was a little bit small as between the starter and the main I was nowhere near full. my friend ordered the whey chicken she couldn't finish (at least she filled) so I asked if I could finish it for her. Maybe that's an acquired taste, but I found it very strangely tasting and said, although it would be edible, I would never order it myself. overall it was a pleasant meal, but for the prices I will not be too fast back. a 250g heighland bark steak for $34 just doesn't seem like worth for me, but then again I'm on a casual wage and don't do much chic eating. if I returned, I would probably stay at the standard Pub tarmac, as for the additional cost of the contemporary menu I was not woven.
Have thrice here and every time it was nice to eat. every time I was with different groups of people and nobody was disappointed with the election. pork is so tender and good cracking, rainbow trout market speciality) my...Mann raved around and he eats fish every restaurant he visits. the desserts are delicious panacotta is so good, but the pumpkin and rosmarin doughnuts are the best. even if the restaurant is in a pub, this is far away from being a standard Pub food, although it has schnitty and burger on the menu. prices are also quite reasonable in view of the quality of food and the way it is presented. the chef is very personal and also comes for a chat.
Since it has opened, they are here several times and every time it becomes better and better. at the first opening there were 'classic' but chic pub style meals I had the lasagne and my partner the hot dog and wing. it was honestly the best lasagne. I had ever (very gran! . perfect ratio of cheese, sauce and meat. my partner said the hot dog and the wings were great. came back for the $15 parmy n pint that was fantastic again. the chips were well cooked, a creamy taste like twice/thrice cooked. the food changes and new things are introduced.
Nice pub, great selection of local beers. Nice set up with a courtyard and a stage (yes, they do live bands here too!!! Food was great, $13.90 lunch specials during the week is a must but we were quite happy to pay full price (public holiday fish and chips were delicious!! Definitely check this place out
