I gave 4 starts only because of the super long wait for more than 1 hr. In between the stater and mains. We came to the restaurant at 6:40pm and left at 8:50 pm, we had to leave back to Sydney that night. The food is a 5 out of 5, but the wait is 1 start.
Among the best Indian I have had in Australia, including desserts. Service was slow at Sunday lunch, do not go if short on time or patience! Ill rate it 5 star for the food nevertheless. PS they also have a small outdoor seating area with a partial ocean view
The staff at this restaurant is very welcoming and the food is excellent.
I really enjoyed the authentic Indian cuisine at this restaurant. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the food was presented beautifully and served quickly. It's a great spot for a casual gathering with some delicious and wholesome dishes.
We went to Mangotree for dinner last Saturday and found the restaurant to be quite busy. There was only one waitress and what appeared to be a manager who was multitasking by covering the floor, counter, phone calls, and even going in and out of the kitchen. Our entree, onion bhaji, took 30 minutes to arrive and we waited over an hour for our main meals. The two ladies working on the floor seemed to be racing around as if in a competition. They offered complimentary papadum to every table and apologized for the delay in serving our meals. Some customers were seen waiting in front of the counter for a long time, likely waiting to pick up their online orders. We observed the chaos while waiting for our food. Overall, the restaurant needs to improve its kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. We rate the service provided by the two ladies with 4 stars, but the chef who took one and a half hours to prepare our food would receive zero stars. This wait was completely unacceptable as we came to relax, not to witness a stressful performance.
