Mega beautiful, in summer and of course in winter

The restaurant is actually called Bergrestaurant Untertrübsee and is located on the valley run down to Engelberg. It's our last stop on a skiing day and is the source of a lot of good memories, that's why I give them four stars and not because of the food. They have two different dining areas. Actually they have an outside dining area too which is not frequented that much in winter. The larger dining room with wonderful mountain is the more basic setup. The real restaurant is smaller. We had drinks mostly that's why I can’t refer on the food but it looked good. The service is kind and fast.

Set in the beautiful mountains of Engelberg. You can hike down to the restaurant after a little cable car ride up a mountain top.There are crystal clear streams that can give you a refreshing drink of ice cold glacier water along the way. The restaurant has excellent food. Local specialities like rösti, wurst salat and fondue. The biggest meringues for dessert and huge ice cream sundaes. Trampoline for the children and very child friendly. You can then hire a scooter bike and enjoy a ride down to Engelberg. Spectacular outing!
