Contribuiți la feedbackAfter trying the other local pub with food, we were told to try here instead. Well, whilst this place is certainly better maintained than the other local, it's still just as expensive. Decided to try the roast dinner. Wish I hadn't. What justifies the prices here? It's incredibly expensive for what tastes like packet food. The meat was full of fat and gristle. The potatoes were soggy. Veg was cold and the gravy was thin and unpleasant. Seems like the old saying too many cooks applies here. The one redeeming feature was the staff are friendly. It was so cold in there we kept our coats on. No Sports on TV, apparently the TV is broken. Not sure what it is about pubs in this suburb. You'd think they were in the middle of Windsor. Too expensive!
Venturing into The Dog and Duck on a recent Friday night turned out to be an unforgettable experience, thanks to the karaoke extravaganza that unfolded within its lively walls. This unassuming pub, transformed into a haven for music enthusiasts and karaoke aficionados alike. The ambiance at The Dog and Duck was electric, with an infectious energy that swept through the crowd. The dimly lit space, set the stage for an evening filled with anticipation and excitement. The stage, beckoned brave souls to take the mic and showcase their vocal prowess. The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the diverse selection of songs available. The Dog and Duck's extensive karaoke library catered to every musical taste imaginable, from classic rock anthems to current chart-toppers. Jodie The MC, a charismatic and witty individual, expertly managed the flow of performances, engaging the audience with humor and encouragement. The crowd participation was nothing short of spectacular. The atmosphere was inclusive, with both seasoned performers and first-time singers receiving thunderous applause. It was heartening to see patrons cheering on their fellow karaoke enthusiasts, creating a sense of camaraderie that is often elusive in many nightlife establishments. In conclusion, The Dog and Duck's karaoke evening proved to be a five-star spectacle. From the vibrant ambiance and diverse song selection to the encouraging crowd and stellar audio quality, this pub has mastered the art of creating an unforgettable karaoke experience. Whether you're a seasoned performer or a casual spectator, The Dog and Duck is the place to be for a pitch-perfect night of musical revelry.
This pub used to be good but not anymore. First the Menu is so disappointing… there is a limited choice of mains, no steaks, no pies. We ordered burgers and they were so bad! The chicken in the chicken burger was almost non existent as it was mostly batter, which was soggy and brown. The rest of the burger was very soggy and tasteless. Chips were nice and crispy. It is a shame as this is our local pub, the inside is still very cool and the team very friendly but I don’t think we will go back!
I came with my daughter for a sunday lunch, and was served by a lovely young lady called Sarah. She had a great attitude and was very happy to deal with all of our needs. I have a dairy allergy and Sarah was very compliant and useful when ordering and patient with my fussy daughter!! She deserves to be recognised by management, I hope all other waiters act as she does!! Thank you Dog&Duck for your lovely atmosphere you have created for your customers, I will definitely be coming back!
One of the best pubs I’ve been to in a long time! Beautiful decor, stunning beer garden and a lovely, happy and relaxed atmosphere. Bumped in to the owners and they couldn’t have been more welcoming. If I didn’t live in Scotland, I’d be there every night!
