Saxon Arms - Witham

The staff are lovely, the pub is nice and clean and the food is good. It's a normal pub grub type menu but everything served is to a high standard. Buy one get one free on all meals everyday as well which makes it great value for money. Loads of parking and I've never seen it too busy. Always managed to get a table without a reservation. They welcome kids and there's a play area outside for them separate from the outside seating area which is great if you don't have kids. If I had a single complaint, and it's not a complaint, i would say bigger portions of gravy with the roast dinner..... its good gravy !!

Family meal to mark my mother's birthday. 9 people. Good quality food, generous portions. We had one gluten-free and one nut allergic: both were easily catered for with no fuss. Our waitress was attentive, efficient and kind. Everything was clean and the food came quite quickly. The team even turned down the music in our area because two of us are hearing impaired. 9 of us went here for my daughters 17th birthday it was perfect the staff are great and it's very clean. The food was delicious. We enjoyed it so much we returned a week later for my mums birthday x

Today we celebrated my Daughters Christening and we couldn’t have gone to a better place. The staff were brilliant from start to finish and the food was excellent. The buffet we paid for, we definitely got more than we were expecting, and everyone commented on how good it was! If you’re looking for somewhere to have a celebration then this is the place we will absolutely be back again! X

When we arrived we were shown to a dirty table, the waiter said he would clean it for us. He only cleared it, l had to clean it with the some napkins. We then waited for someone to come and take our order, after 20 minutes we asked if it was table service, to be told no, order at the bar. When the food arrived it was lukewarm. Iasked for a med /well done steak and it was med/rare. So dissapointed as it was my husband's birthday meal.
