Lovely restaurant, service excellent, wonderful to have vegan choices

The staff were very nice but the food was awful. My granddaughter had turkey which was so dry it was just a heap of crumbs on her plate. It was hard to find roast potatoes that were not burned, the cabbage was dry and cauliflower cheese was rock hard. Will not be returning

I went on Sunday with my mother and sister. I am glad we booked a table in advance as it was very busy. We all opted for the carvery and we weren 't disappointed. The food was beautifully cooked, with 'proper ' roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Amy was our waitress and she did a sterling job for us. The staff were all very friendly and helpful; and the pub was clean. Overall, it was a great experience and I have already recommended this pub to the people in my office.
