Contribuiți la feedbackThis morning, my husband and I decided to have lunch at the Floral Café followed by a walk on the promenade. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find that the Café at the Floral is not up to par. We have been regular customers at the Café and have always enjoyed our visits, but we cannot recommend it anymore. When we arrived at the Panoramic Lounge, we were surprised to see that many items on the menu, such as Fish and Chips, Scouse, and the breakfast menu, were no longer available. The sandwich, sub roll, and baked potato menu was also lacking in options. Despite the online menus still showing these items, we were told that they were not available. When we tried to order, we were informed that they were out of Bacon, Brie, and Cranberry Sub Rolls, which was disappointing. It seems that the first floor kitchen, which used to prepare all the food, has been closed, and now everything is made in a limited space, leading to a reduced menu selection. We ultimately decided to take our business elsewhere. The prices have been raised for Afternoon Tea, and many items have been removed from the menu, prompting us to visit The Waiting Room in Victoria Road instead. As a long-time resident of New Brighton, I have seen the Floral Pavilion go through many changes over the years, and I am not impressed with its current state. I urge the management to improve the Café and make it a place to be proud of once again.
My wife and I had lunch at this restaurant. We both had jacket potatoes with tuna. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff was friendly, and we highly recommend a visit.
We used to come here often with our elderly parents to enjoy the view while having fish and chips before a stroll along the promenade. Unfortunately, on our most recent visit, we were disappointed to find that they had run out of fish and chips and fish finger hot rolls. It seems there is a new Management Team in place. With no suitable options on the menu, we had no choice but to leave and find another restaurant. Unless the menu changes, we won't be returning in the future.
Visited with a friend for a meal prior to a show which we do quite frequently. Fish and chips excellent as usual. Dessert on menu was apple crumble and custard. I requested the crumble with ice cream instead of crumble and was informed that ‘ the kitchen won’t do that ‘. When I asked if the request could be made to the kitchen staff I was informed that there was no point as they won’t change the menu. As ice cream is always available and the custard was being served separately to the crumble I was surprised by this response. I will return as it’s convenient for me to do so but this attitude is not the best.
I simply could not believe it. £2.40 for a can of diet Fanta and served without even a straw or a paper cup. Luckily this was all I needed. I didn't look at the price of anything else, probably still in shock at the Fanta price. It's no wonder the place was quiet. 31p is the probable cost of a can wholesale, £2.40 for a can is absolute daylight robbery.
