Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Winterville

I usually don’t write reviews for chain restaurants because we all know what to expect from them, but I’ve come to truly appreciate this hidden gem that often gets overlooked. It’s located on Firetower, just off Memorial Drive, among the other fast food options. Tropical Smoothie Cafe is the only quick-service place I frequent regularly. Their smoothies are ideal for a light, quick breakfast, and you can easily pair them with a wrap, flatbread sandwich, or salad. I’ve found that grabbing a smoothie in the morning along with a salad keeps me satisfied throughout the workday—perfect for those busy days when I can’t make lunch or take a break to eat out. Plus, the food is fresh and on the healthier side. They open early too, so I can pick everything up and be at my desk by 7:30 a.m.

Waited in line over 30 minutes before I even got to order. Employee had a bad attitude. It was obvious they were understaffed

The customer service was awful! Please provide some training for the staff on how to be more friendly and accommodating.

The Tropical Smoothie at the Winterville location provided a disappointing experience. The staff completely ignored both me and my guest, leaving us standing there without anyone taking our orders. One of the girls behind the counter even shot us rude looks and whispered about us with a coworker in the corner. To make matters worse, the food wasn’t even good when we finally received it. I won’t be coming back to this location.

I'm not exactly sure how to describe my experience here.I've never been to a Tropical smoothie so I have nothing to base my experience on. Fresh fruit is literally a banana or an apple.....maybe I've been a little spoiled by the Lords chicken.It was moderately clean. The previous person sitting at our table spilled a smoothie so it was sticky. Bathroom was moderately clean.I ordered the chicken salad and got a wrap. They did fix it. The wrapper even said salad. It was ok. Processed chicken but what did I expect for $9.The oddest things were the employee wearing bedroom slippers......that can't be safe. Also what's up with the Christmas tree and wreath is just chilling in June.Average food. Average service. 2.5 rounded up for this review.
