The Wooden Spoon - Winterport

Overall, it was an extremely disappointing experience. We took our son and daughter-in-law with us, who is gluten-free, because the website mentioned that gluten-free options were available upon request. However, when we asked the waitress, she said she didn’t think it would be possible and didn't even bother to check for us. We went there for brunch, and it was $25 just for some eggs. Really?

We had a delicious meal and was very impressed by the service and how polite the entire staff was. in any case:

The food was excellent, the service could have been better. I am assuming it was a young person just starting out, so hopefully she will get better. Homemade sausage was very good and eggs were done right. Gluten free toast was burnt, fresh fruit was delicious. When it came time to pay our bill, we had to tell the waitress what we had, instead, she should have had that informatiom. I hope these problems get straightened out, otherwise it was a good place .

Food was good overall. Very loud . Extremely slow and poor service to the point not worth it to go back
