An der Kappe - Winterberg

We walked in winter mountain from the rodelbahn direction city center and saw a white to the local. a look at the menu and we went in. after our order (cheesburger with pommes) we didn't have to wait long for the drinks. eating came a short time later and it was excellent.In the shortest time it was locally full of guests and all seemed satisfied. the service was friendly and helpful. we like to come back.

I was there after a fun ski day. first of all, the owner is a very friendly woman. she doesn't know how to run a restaurant. on a day like that we were there, she had to be prepared for a full house. Instead, she was underused and underused. at 16 o'clock there was no possibility for a few snacks, the kitchen was not finished yet. the kamin, very nice with glowing wine after a good ski day, was broken. in order, then we'll go early to the evening. it took half an hour before they accepted the order, and more than an hour to bring it. . . two carvings (the nice ones). 15 minutes later the supplement came. By now we were the only of 30 people in the restaurant who had drinks and eating, and the other guests were sorry. a group even went mad. we have tried to order a few new drinks, but we have been told that the changes to get them were small to nothing, lol. at least the waitress (the only) was honest. we had a really nice time to observe this hilarious chaos. Maybe it was just one of those days that visited murphy, but for the owner we hope she will improve her service and quality.

We have eaten here at our first night in winterberg, and after a great experience with German food on our trip we were, to say, disappointed by the cap. we ordered main dishes (ripples and a jägerschnitzel) and a dessert (apfelstrudel with vanilla sauce and ice) the service was friendly but very slow. the ripples were dry and carburized, and there was only a small portion BBQ sauce to make them softer. they would expect the meat to fall from the bone, but they had to be chewed well and properly. the carving was beautiful, but very salty. I went out the drink, and no one came by to order another. we had to stand up in the middle of the salty meal to order more drinks. it took an eternality until the tellers were cleared, and then we ordered apfelstrudel to dessert and rejoiced for something sweet. we have asked that there are both vanilla sauce and ice cream, both individual options on the menu. Forty minutes later, the strudel arrived only with ice cream, and it was ice-cold to the edge parts everywhere. unnecessary to say that I didn't eat much of it, and it was very disappointing after the waiting period we had. the service was very friendly, I can't stand anything at all, but it was very slow. we will not eat here anymore.

We were on recommendation from friends here, because there would be a carving house with a huge selection of carvings. at the arrival it turned out that the name had changed and a new owner stuck in it... a Dutchman. they can now eat burger, satay, spareribs, gyros and carvings. our scavenger has tasted like a dirty wet squirrel, really not good! the pommes were glassy by old oil and hard, I left my teller standing. the salat was very tasty, I had something to eat for the good! also the other guests on the table received little positive resonance, the mushroom sauce was very salty. the burger tasteless and the BBQ sauce on the burgers very overwhelming, and the same sauce was on the spare ribs. the children did not even like the French who were served with a bag kernmayonnaise, which proved that a Dutch wholesaler was a supplier. the quality of this brand is known to us as “less”. if they like Wijko-Satay sauce, they are right here, because this is served above the satay, we unfortunately not. the price was very cheap as in most restaurants in the sourland, our opinion was absolutely not delicious. nothing was done against the complaining about eating. after the owner's statement, he had hardly received any complaints in this regard and thus the thing was done. So once and never again!

In the late afternoon dinner with the family after digging. all carving with pommes. without salad, but delicious. have no comparative material in winterberg.
