I love discovering new restaurants with an interesting story. On my way back to Thomasville from Winston, I was craving a burger and wishing for something new in the area. I happened to stumble upon Thunder Road bar and grill in a strip mall, despite my initial doubts. The waitress was friendly and prompt, and the burger I ordered was delicious and served on a brioche bun. I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a salad instead of fries, and the homemade buttermilk ranch dressing was a nice touch. The overall experience was great, and the fast meal was affordable. I will definitely be returning for more of their tasty burgers. The restaurant is kid-friendly, and I was impressed by the quality of the food for the price.

The service and food at this restaurant were terrible. We waited for our food only to receive burnt hotdogs. The wait staff seemed uninterested in our experience and blamed delays on to-go orders, though we did not see any being picked up. The restaurant was not busy, which made the whole experience even more disappointing. It seems like the positive reviews must be either misleading or from the restaurant itself. There are plenty of other restaurants that offer good service and delicious food, so I recommend avoiding Thunder Road Grill and dining elsewhere.

I love it when I have a story behind a restaurant. I was on my way back to Thomasville from Winston and kept thinking. I wish there was something else in this area as far as a restaurant. I was really in a burger mood. I know about Cagney's which is great .. I worked hard this morning and really didn't want to wait until I was all the way back to Thomasville to eat.So when I was in the direct epicenter of where, I wanted to find a place. I saw a strip mall kind of back and up to the left. I thought the odds are small of something being in this place. But I've never been up here, so I'm gonna look.Sure enough there was a Thunder Road bar and grill. I had my apprehensions since I am a non drinker. But I guess the bar part is just open on. The bar part is just open evenings? So I wondered in this sharp but slight Is little sandwich shop. I was impressed the minute that I walked in the door without cleaning it was. The waitress was very prompt, friendly. Courteous and glad to answer my questions. And in a reasonable amount of time, I was served a true chargrilled burger on a brioche bun. Really nice. And they were happy to give me a salad instead of french fries. And I was happy to find out that it was true homemade buttermilk ranch dressing.This was a really nice experience and a really good fast meal. Again, this is another one of those. I would love it if there was a 4.5.... I will be back. I really loved the taste of the burger. OH! My meal salad and drink was less than ten dollars!!!!Kid friendliness: Children were in the restaurant and they were treated nicely.
