The Hawthorne Inn Conference Center

Great location, close to everything downtown. Hotel always clean and well kept. Rooms always very clean with pretty comfortable beds. We have stayed here before but this time the a/c went out in our room the 2nd night we were there and we had to be moved to another room. It was inconvenient to have to move, but the hotel staff was very helpful and even upgraded our room. The a/c in the next room was not on and took a long time to cool the room since the room was more like a small studio apartment. We still enjoyed our night and our stay overall. The pool is wonderful, nice size with a very nice pool deck with tables. We love this hotel and the area and will return again!

The hotel is dated but the rooms are updated and clean. The maid service was excellent. The price was affordable. I requested an accessible bathroom. Although the shower had a nice hand held shower, the safety bars were mounted very low and resulted in me injuring my back when I bent down to clean myself. It was difficult to stand as the tub was very narrow and low to the ground. The water in the shower couldn 't be accurately temperature controlled. Forget about the continental breakfast. It consisted of one choice of bagels, a few small muffins, bad coffee and no fruit or protein options. We went into Waffle House and enjoyed a reasonable breakfast.Safety: The accessible bathroom just isn 't. The tub/shower caused me to injure my back due to the low mounted safety bars.Food drinks: Terrible continental breakfast. Had better at Best Western.Noteworthy details: The maid service was awesome. The room was cleaned and beds made every day.

Nice, clean suites. Very simple but perfect for a night or a few. The pool is great! 9 feet and they maintain it. Great views of the city if you 're up high and facing that direction. Close to WFBH. Great for out-of-towners having to go to that hospital. Walking distance to downtown and great restaurants. Staff friendly and accommodating.The only complaint we would have made was the breakfast. . Plan to grab food somewhere else. Bagels and muffins seemed so stale they wouldn 't even toast in the toaster. No cereal for something quick before hitting the road.

Our power and Internet went out, due to strong weather storm. So we we to The Hawthorne Inn. This place has great accommodations along with continental breakfast. You can also request a breakfast to have a hot meal for $10.00. Nice place to stay in Winston Salem NC.Rooms: 5/5

I really don't know about the rooms. I wasn't there to stay the night. I was a vendor for an event that was hosted there. Things we needed, like a chair or table was available to us as requested with no issue. Staff we were around was very professional and pleasant. Bathrooms were very clean.Nearby activities: It in downtown Winston-Salem. It's place all within walking distance.Walkability: Lots of restaurants within walking distance
