I was excited to see that they offered a vegan crepe option. However, after waiting for 45 minutes, the dish I received was a complete disappointment in terms of appearance. They mentioned they attempted to fix it three times but couldn't get the vegan crepe batter right. It seems that others have had a better experience here! I’m giving it 3 stars because, despite how it looked, it actually tasted better than expected, and they were kind enough not to charge me for it! Updated from the previous review on August 27, 2022.
Penny Path boasts a fantastic atmosphere, featuring comfortable indoor seating and plenty of options for outdoor dining. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the server, who happens to be the crepe maker, adds a personal touch to the experience. They serve large coffees and offer a choice of soy or almond milk. While I haven’t tried their sweet crepes, the savory one called the Kitchen Sink, made with vegan batter and without meat, cheese, or pesto, is absolutely delicious. If you dine indoors, you can even watch the crepe-making process unfold right before your eyes!
We dined at the High Point location before the one in Winston opened. I went vegan two weeks before hitting up Winston and had assumed I wouldn't be able to enjoy crepes there. However, I discovered that they actually have a vegan batter that can be used for both sweet and savory crepes. It's quite delicious! The veganized kitchen sink crepe is fantastic. For dessert, they offer a tocoff spread that is incredibly tasty.
Penny Path boasts a fantastic atmosphere, featuring comfortable indoor seating and plenty of outdoor options. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and your server often prepares your crepe right in front of you! They serve excellent coffee and offer soy or almond milk as alternatives. Although I haven't sampled their sweet crepes yet, the kitchen sink crepe made with vegan dough and without meat, cheese, or pesto is simply delicious. Plus, if you’re seated indoors, you can watch as they make your crepe!
