Contribuiți la feedbackThis restaurant is immaculate! Everything is very clean, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the food was fantastic. The sushi roll combo was impressive, and the service was excellent. My server was extremely polite, and the food arrived quickly. I can't recommend this place highly enough!
The restaurant was spotless, and the sushi was excellent. The server was friendly and smiled, but they weren't very attentive, especially since we were one of only two tables there at 2 PM on a Thursday. At least the busboy took care of processing our card so we could return to work. The sushi portions were generous, and the flavor was fantastic.
**Suggested Tip Based on Total After Sales Tax:** - Soup: Nice - Salad: Great ginger dressing - Soft Shell Crab: Tasty - Shrimp: Very nice - Rice: Great, but could use soy sauce - Steak: Perfectly cooked and very tender - Vegetables: Zucchini, carrot, onion, mushrooms, broccoli - Fried Rice: A few peas, chopped onion
I have yet to try another hibachi in Winston-Salem that tops this one for me. Kimono is a staple! There are several locations around, including Clemmons, Welcome, and Kernersville, but I'm most familiar with this location. 9 times out of 10, I usually opt for takeout, because hibachi is just one of those meals that is easy to grab and go. If you're going that route, this location does a high volume of takeout, so they've got it down. They're always pleasant on the phone, and I've never had my order be incorrect. And let me tell ya, I get a LOT of takeout from Kimono. I wanted to grab something prior to grocery shopping, so this particular instance I decided to dine in. My mom and I split the Kimono for 2, which is honestly a stellar value. It's $34 total, but this gets you a TON of food. It comes with chicken, steak, shrimp and scallops. No decision making needed here! You can also do rice or noodles, and I love having that option. Both are delicious! You can also do hibachi, teriyaki or spicy teriyaki. I can't remember if you get soup or salad or both, but I know I walked away with another full meal. They do a really nice presentation too. The scallops have a nice little sear, the steak is tender, the chicken is flavorful... it's just good food. This comes out to under $20 a person and I just really don't think you can beat the portions and the prices. The service is always prompt and friendly, and they're good about accommodating bigger parties. I often see a lot of families, so it's definitely family friendly. The parking lot is behind the building.
It's been years since I've been to this Kimono restaurant, but I was happy to come back because it was always great in the past. This time, we came for a birthday lunch and the table included around 10 people. The inside is less cozy than some smaller places, but it's clean and laid out pretty well. No issues there. The service was great, as was expected. Sunday lunch time is busy, but the staff did a great job taking care of our crowd. My wife ordered the beef bulgogi, which was so good. Lots of flavor and good texture. Order this is you like interesting food and haven't had it before. She also ordered a funky roll to share with some others. That is always a hit, although I prefer a little more spice and something crunch in the middle. I ordered the salmon lover's combo which comes with 5 pieces of sashimi and a Salmon double roll. So Good! The sashimi was buttery and perfectly fresh. The rolls are great, and matched my memories from the past. I also ordered a gyoza pork dumpling appetizer. The rest of the table had a variety of items, mostly hibachi combos with some rolls here and there. All was good and everyone came away happy. I'm glad that this location has kept its reputation and quality. I hope to come back soon.
