Asa's Steakhouse And Seafood - WINSTED

Owner is so rude. Food took forever for a basic breakfast for 2. Eggshell in my eggs, home fries were so dry I needed ketchup to choke them down and I hate ketchup. Owner was rude when we wanted a receipt because the printer was out of paper but we hadn 't signed for the credit card yet, because there was no paper. He was very loud in his comments that of course we need a receipt and to the waitress that he didn 't have time for that s (to go in his stockroom for paper). Complaining about other customers loud enough for us to hear. That was our 2nd visit, first one was such the same but tried again anyway. Never again.

Chef was super nice and directed us to some local art shops when we asked if he knew of any in the area. Food was quick and good, no fuss and not much wait if any. Solid find for a spur of the moment stop for lunch, would definitely make this a frequent thing if I were local.

Great family place to eat. Absolutely everything is made fresh, from the French fries to the corned beef hash WOW! The owner and his son Max are wonderful.

We go pretty much every weekend for breakfast. By far the best breakfast around. Everything is made to order and uses the freshest ingredients. Hash is the best as well as the mushroom omelet. We havent tried lunch or dinner yet. Owner is very friendly and Max when he's around is the love and spirit of the place.

Absolutely incredible! Food is fresh and cooked to perfection. Our 3 children finished ALL of their meals for the first time, no leftovers. We were very impressed and can’t wait to come back for dinner. I can’t recommend enough, thank you!!
