I tried the chocolate banana milkshake (which was huge) and the blue cheese, bacon, and caramelized onion burger with a side of fries. Everything tasted amazing, but with taxes and tip, the total bill came to over $30. I will definitely try other menu items in moderation in the future, as $30 for lunch is a bit expensive.
My company ordered pulled pork, coleslaw, and Greek salad for a 15-person company BBQ. The food was great and everyone loved their meal. The Greek salad, in particular, was impressive with a generous amount of vegetables and delicious dressing. The pulled pork was flavorful and tender, with many people going back for seconds. We still have leftovers to enjoy. There was plenty of food at a fair price. The pickup at the restaurant was easy and pleasant, with staff even carrying the crates to the car. I would definitely order from them again for a company event.
My first time dining at this restaurant was at the end of a long work day, and we practically had the place to ourselves. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was delicious. The onion rings were especially impressive, and the atmosphere was adorable.
Far and away the best burger in the city. The burger has the perfect amount of crispy char on the outside and juicy on the inside. The toppings are so well balanced and the burger is wonderfully messy. This place is always a delight to eat to at, but don't forget the milkshake!
For many years the White Star Diner was a mainstay of Winnipeg’s Exchange District. The diner was a little hole in the wall on Albert Street. It was mainly a takeout joint, with a limited number of seats. I had only been on one occasion and that hadn’t been enough to convince me to go back.
