Wasabi Restaurant & Sushi Bistro

Love the place, it’s usually very quiet, the service is great. The rolls and nigiri are delicious.

I have complained about the rice at this restaurant years ago because it is not good, tastes bad, and is mushy.Went today to check it out, same terrible rice. I don 't understand how a sushi bistro consistently makes bad sushi rice.

Most of the food was sub par. I was very surprised as I had always enjoyed their food . They now have a new menu, which excluded most of the dishes I liked. The tempura shrimp were small and soggy. The roll we ordered (Tempura roll) was not very tasty and had only 5 pieces most rolls in the past had 6 7. Out of desperation we ordered sable fish which was covered with miso so thick it had to be scraped off. We had a hard time finding something we wanted to eat and ordered less than half of what we usually did in the past and left hungry. So sad they changed.

Wasabi Sushi is my absolute favorite sushi restaurant. I've been going for years, and had my very first sushi experience there.My friend and I have returned for many long lunches, always having the Volcano roll, and the Mango Shrimp salad along with testing new rolls.The service has always been top notch. The restaurant is always clean, with enough room between tables as to never feel crowded. In summer I love the screened in porch. There are other good sushi restaurants in Winnipeg, but Wasabi is the best. I've now moved to BC and long for some Wasabi Sushi!!!

Went to a date night with my wife.Everything worth 5 stars, food not the best but the service is best.
