Shannon's Irish Pub - Winnipeg

Fly into Winnipeg for work and went with my daughter and a colleague. Found this place while walking around. The service was fantastic and the food as well.He ate the Steak and Potato Pie, my daughter the Cod and Chips and I had the Curry Chicken. All of our meals were amazing. Portions were great and the flavour was amazing...will go back again.

Ended up here after the pub we were at closed great spot in the bottom of the building. Lots of nooks and areas to sit and the bartenders were great. It was karaoke night so that was interesting but was a good time

The bar is nice enough, but we had the wings and chips and they were not good. The fries were super salty and the wings were tasteless.

After the RV show, we stopped by Shannon's for a few pints before our dinner reservations elsewhere. Have to admit the entrance was a tad sketchy as it is downtown Winnipeg and the street people do collect just inside the main level doorway in cold weather but we were thirsty so what the heck. Down the 2 sets of stairs or so and the entire scene is transformed into a quaint Irish pub like you'd find in Halifax.We sat down and were served by a friendly young lady. 2 Guinness and 2 something or other lighter type beers for the ladies. Went down well and quickly. So, another round was summoned arriving promptly.The Jets game was on. They had a stage set up for what we hear are Irish type bands (we love this type of atmosphere - reminds us of Maritime bars where every pub has a local band playing Celtic tunes). Not sure if it was the beers or eclectic feel to the pub but if we did not have reservations elsewhere, we would have stayed put and had a blast right here.Sketchy entrance/exit but don't let that fool you. Shannon's looks like an awful lot of fun and the beer on tap was cold, refreshing and served quickly.

Lunch at Shannons was nothing less than awesome! This place reminds of us an Irish pub that one would find in the heart of downtown Chicago.My Lamb Burger was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten! Juicy, tender, flavourful and a very generous portion. The combination of the cheese and soft onion bun are simply amazing. You need to try this burger.The pub is very clean and the service was outstanding. We will be sure to tell our friends about this little gem and cannot wait to go back late night for live music and more food.Shannons is one of the best in Winnipeg!
