Second Cup - Winnipeg

I just reviewed this place but had submitted to the wrong location. This location, near the bay and the mall, was prime study space for me during exams. Loved it. They do good hot chocolates, pastries, treat, and plenty of space to work. Only drawback is their coffee is average, or slightly above average, but is cheaper than the alternatives in the area.

Was there with a group of 8, the staff was very willing to push tables together to accommodate us. The place is pleasantly decorated, comfortable & clean. Only thing I can knock is the drink selection, I'm not a coffee drinker, there wasn't much else. Everyone else seemed happy with what they had though

Second Cup coffee is very good. It is a nice alternative to Starbucks. They also have a selection of snacks available.

Nice spot (for downtown Winnipeg). in summer outdoor tables are nice as Edmonton street is not very busy in that block. Have been there quite a few times and staff are friendly always. Big diversity of patrons which is consistent with the downtown location. Coffee is nice and I also buy beans from them to grind myself at home.

I give 4 stars mainly due to the wide open layout and confortability factor Certainly a nice change from many other coffee locationsthe coffee itself
