K&s Island Grill - Winnipeg

K&S Island Grill was highly recommended by a friend of mine, so as a fellow Torontonian, I just had to give it a try. The jerk chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned. I would rate it a solid 10 out of 10! Whenever I'm in Winnipeg, I’ll definitely be stopping by again!

We called K&S to place a catering order for our family party of 14 people. They had no issues with accommodating our large order for the following day. We ordered, ate and most definitely enjoyed their Jerk Chicken, Ox Tail, Rice n Peas, Linguine, Island Veggies, Calypso Mashed Potatoes, Plantains and Beef Patties. The presentation was great and the flavor was PHENOMENAL! I honestly could not pick out a 'highlight ' as everything was so tasty and amazing and each dish accompanied the others so well. I flew in for this family party from Toronto and K&S is now my favorite Caribbean restaurant : )Job well done K&S!!

Someone just recommended this place to me and I’m kicking myself for not noticing this place way way way earlier!!!I was able to pull up right out front and wandered in, I was greeted immediately and offered a cosy table and a menu along with some tasty recommendations about what to order, everything looked so good but I settled for my favourites Oxtail, festival and Plantains which came cooked to perfection and were full of incredible flavour! Wow this place is probably one of the most Authentic Yard (Jamaican) restaurants in the city! Simple but amazing and pleasant ambiance with Glen Washington, Beres Hammond, Taurus Riley, Bob Marley, Sanchez and other Reggae greats playing in the background the food is 100% authentic it’s so flavourful and bubbled to perfection wow! I can’t recommend this place enough to people! Incredible experience really and the Staff are so friendly and nice! I had an incredible experience overall. The food was outstanding, and the staff were extremely friendly. I even had to loosen my pants just to enjoy more of the delicious dishes. Thank you!
