Izakaya Edokko - Winnipeg

My husband and I have never agreed on Winnipeg's best sushi restaurant...until tonight. I knew as soon as I saw the pearly looking sushi rice that it was perfectly cooked. We ordered through SkipTheDishes about an hour before they closed and everything still tasted super fresh. The Kamikaze roll was to die for (I am super picky about this roll as it's my favourite My friends have all dubbed me a sushi snob and this place surpassed my expectations. The prices were very reasonable and what I'd expect from a higher end sushi restaurant. You get what you pay for and it was well worth it. We will definitely be ordering again...and again :

It was honestly the best tasting sushi I've ever eaten, and the tuna nachos bring life to your taste buds. Everything was absolutely decadent while not being overly filling. Atmosphere of the bar was wonderful as well.

Miso Ramen was bomb dot comb, highly recommend the spicy miso ramen if you like having a slight kick to your soup. Takoyaki was a great hit with me, high recommend also the mackerel sashimi for sashimi lovers! Definitely coming back to try the gyu tataki other items!
