The lunch soup and sandwich special was excellent and economical. $8 and a large bowl of roasted garlic chicken soup the day we were there. Sandwiches are large and well filled. Mine roast beef on very fresh french bread his corned beef on rye. Was also a chicken option. Took half sandwich away with us.

Your typical bar style decor. You would think pub food right? Wrong, the menu is quite extensive. Most places couldn't manage all the options Big Guys have. And they do it very well.

Visited Big Guys while on vacation in Winnipeg this week. Went around 9:00pm so we got right in. Waitress was friendly and kept our water refilled! Food was good but they were out of enchiladas so had to modify one order. Cole slaw that comes with meals was surprisingly good. Honey dill sauce was excellent. Would recommend the fajitas and chicken fingers for kids. Only complaint would be the prices seemed very high. $18.00 for fajitas and $20.00 for enchiladas. Prices you would expect from a more high end establishment not a local neighbourhood diner!

Have been to the restaurant many times in the past and have had amazing service and food. This time, got our waters and waited a very long time for our server to come back and take our orders. Looked around, only 4 other tables with people at them and 3 servers were working. Our server finally came back to our table for our orders after another server heard me say that we might as well leave since we are not being served. The food finally arrived, I had chicken fried steak with fries. none of which arrived hot at the table. I was too hungry not to eat it. A table across from us ordered the same thing and they were saying theirs were not hot either.So the service and food were not impressive at all this time.

We went out for supper on a Tuesday night and found out it was wing night . $0.50 each. They had a good assortment of wings to choose from. We liked the sweet chili, pineapple curry and the honey teriyaki. The wings were served hot and with nice flavours. Our favorite was the sweet chili (or Thai in some places.) Well worth going there on Tuesdays. Also in the bar section they have FREE popcorn to munch on as you watch the games on several televsions.
