West River Tap - Winner

It does not seem that they survived the Covid shutdowns. I would have loved to try their menu.

Food was awesome. Great service. Will be returning whenever I am back in town. I have been to every place in town and this place is the best around! Can't wait to come back so I can try a burger. I had the Cubano and fries this time. Excellent!!

When in Winner this is the place to go. Friday night ribs with beans and bacon Mac and cheese is one of the best meals you will find this side of the Missippi. Matt knows his way around a smoker so if you are lucky enough to be there when the grill is fired up ask for the special.

Our annual hunting pilgrimage to Winner has always been filled with pheasants, libations, and a tall tale or two. But never with truly excellent big city quality food. This year that changed. What owner Matt has created in this small hunting town is nothing short of exceptional. From the fall off the bone lamb shanks to a heavenly creme brûlée, our group of six could not believe the quality of the food. Until we learned that the chef was a graduate of the Culinary Institute. Then it all made sense. This oasis of a restaurant is worth the drive from wherever you may be. We will gladly return to see Matt and his staff, who could not have been more welcoming. From Steamboat Springs, Colorado well done!

Expect a visit from chef Matt Shopene to make sure your food is to your liking. Good food good beer and friendly service at a fair price , you can't go wrong here.
