Duke Of York - Winkleigh

My son brought me here for a surprise birthday meal and the staff were absolutely lovely looking after us. He asked our waitress to recommend the dishes and we certainly weren't disappointed. This is definitely somewhere I would bring friends and family for special occasions. We didn't stay overnight in the hotel, we just came in for an evening meal. Parking can be a bit of a pain but the pub is in a really beautiful location. Service: 5

Staying locally, saw a recommendation in visitors book where we are staying, to try this place for a meal. was not disappointed, and found to be reasonably priced. Lovely hot homecooked food, good friendly service... no airs or graces. Good pub food !!!! Service: 5 Location: 5

I can't comment on the rooms as we just went for a meal. We phoned last minute, and managed to get the last table available. The staff were really nice and friendly, and it had a nice atmosphere. The food was really nice and well cooked. Food drinks: It was really nice they have an excellent range on the menu, and even as vegetarians we had a decent choice. Service: 5 Location: 5
