We had a great time during our visit to this restaurant. We really enjoyed the relaxed and informal atmosphere, it felt like we were dining with friends. The food was delicious and freshly made. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the fish soup was, I even went back for seconds. Everything tasted like it was homemade and the desserts, especially the custard tarts, were incredible. If you enjoy casual dining and a laid-back atmosphere, this is the perfect place to go.

We went there yesterday and had opted for the dinner buffet. Delicious! Had the tasty homemade soup of the day, a bit of salad with awesome house dressing, perfectly roasted potatoes, lovely rice in a light tomato sauce, pork tenderloin, fresh cod fish (house style simmered in a special sauce), chicken and wine flavoured lamb. There was more that I didn't choose as my plate was full. If I could, I would have gone for a second helping but I was full but ready for the dessert. Everything offered was homemade by the family and again.....delicious pie, cherry/pineapple cobbler, rice pudding, moist carrot cake and a Portuguese staple - decadent Quentinhas E Boas (baked custard tarts)! You can order items off of their menu or enjoy a lunch or dinner buffet. Isabella, the owner is one of the nicest ladies you can meet, taking time to explain what's offered in the buffet and interesting chit chat from time to time. Now that we've tried the dinner buffet, it won't be long before we try their luncheon buffet. You can eat in, take out and they also cater. They have a hefty following of repeat customers who dine there every week. That should tell you something!

We visited based on the positive reviews. Sadly we were disappointed. The char grilled chicken was most enjoyable. This we can be positive about. The other meat and side dishes underwhelmed us as did the desserts....the tart was burnt. The female owner was pleasant and server was not very warm. Dinner bill was fairly expensive for this experience.

I came here for dinner, huge selection! They are ribs, rice with mushrooms, a dish with different meats, cabbage and potatoes, and so much more, about 16 hot foods! The desserts were wonderful! And I love the create your own salad bar!
