The Grand Cantina - Windsor

Very excited to try the new location. It is a beautiful spot with giant windows perfect for people watching. The marg was excellent. Nachos also solid. We tried 6 tacos…i liked the fried chicken one but none were amazing. Churros were overly crispy…missing the soft interior. Overall a good experience but just not blown away. Will return to try more tacos and other drinks.

Went at 7pm on a Friday night, and tried to get a table for 8. They do not take reservations, so we were prepared to wait. We were told that it would be over 2 hour wait, and we were fine with that. Gave our number to text when the table was ready, and went to another local restaurant for drinks. We never got a text back. Really disappointed in the lack of communication. I understand it's busy, but how are you supposed to get a table for 8 if you don't take reservations? The hostess could have told us that they couldn't accommodate, but she did not. Never had a problem at the old location. Definitely won't be visiting this new location.

It's ok. They were out of Mexican coke, and they didn't have any other coke or any pop for that matter. Ended up ordering a lemonade, which was ok. No choice of hard shell for tacos, only soft ones. Ordered corn, pretty sure I got flour taco shell, but didn't want to return it since it already took way too long to get the food in the first place. The place is super cute seems trendy, but for the number of staff working there, I feel like it should be better run. That's just my opinion. Other people seemed to enjoy the tacos, so all good.

The burger was good. The waitresses were really friendly. Got the burger, too oily really expensive. The price on the menu is only for sandwiches not for the side and sides are expensive. For customized burgers only .50 for ketchup or mustard, when everywhere else put that on your table.

Went on a Monday afternoon. I understand they just opened, so I gave them a little bit of slack. We ordered the nachos to start. They were lackluster at best. I understand they were only $11, but come on, pour it on a little more. Food times were all over the place. Got our fries 10 minutes before our tacos. Pretty bland food. Ill try again in a few months to let them get over the wave of being new. I'll update my rating then.
