The Bull & Barrel - Windsor

My wife and I stopped here for dinner this past weekend to celebrate my birthday. We were so excited to visit our favorite country bar we frequented before Covid closed the boarder. When we got there, I was greated with a quick flash of judgment by the hostess before she asked if we had reservations or wanted the bar. She said there was a birthday party that booked the restaurant, but there were a handful of additional tables outside of that area. We decided outside was good and sat at a table. Our waitress came over and took our orders for drinks, but took quite some time to return for apps. Not long after this, a large group of teens came in and we were pretty much forgotten about. She took their drink orders promptly, app orders we were very quick too. All while walking right past us with menus closed and far away from us. She finally returned after a good length of time to take our app and meal order. Shortly after, it began to rain. So we grabbed the table by the door to the patio. We sat there for almost a full hour hour before we received our two burgers. Mind you, the large group got all there stuff incredibly fast and she still had to walk right by us each time to serve them, never checking on us or even making eye contact. My wife never got a second water despite having an empty glass for 45 minutes. Also, not even 20 minutes after we were seated, the birthday crowd left. After that, not once were we offered a warmer dryer spot inside away from the door where security was checking people, causing them to crowd around my wife. The restaurant was not too busy that night for the service we received. Based on how the general public of Windsor treated us that night, I can only attribute the horrible service to my decision to wear my favorite Stetson with a nice western shirt and new Wranglers. This is where the look of judgement came in when I walked in the door. Perhaps I'm wrong, but considering our server never apologized and seemed happy to cash us out, I don't think so. WILL NEVER RETURN, THANKS FOR PUTTING A DAMPER ON MY 25TH BIRTHDAY.

I love this place. I genuinely had one of if not the most fun nights of my life at this place. I was there on a night where they were playing country music. I do not know if that is regular but I hope it is. The vibes were immaculate and the drinks were delicious.

Food portion was delicious and very generous for both meals (Brisket and Burger). Service friendly and wait time from ordering to meal arriving was within 10 minutes.

This bar is spacious and just as fun as I remember it being 10 years ago! The bull dip and frozen drinks are delicious

Overall Service was Great. Food came Hot and Delicious. A little Loud, but to be expected. Friendly Staff. The Fish Tacos are Excellent. An excellent Dinning Experience. And Fun Atmosphere.
