La Guardia - Windsor

Booked this restaurant for our anniversary because we would be in Windsor and it came highly recommended.Service was great, wine choice ditto, and the bread with tomatoes and herbs excellent. Then it all went downhill.We had both ordered Caesar salad to start. It came over dressed and aside from the romaine and croutons, which were not homemade, it lacked taste. I asked the waitress for extra Parmesan just so I could soak up some of the homemade dressing.My husband ordered the cannelloni which he said was good but preferred mine and I ordered the spinach fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. Shrimp was cooked excellent but when I got my dish I thought I had soup and noodles. The sauce did definitely not stick to the noodles and the noodles were linguine not fettuccine. Disappointed in the dinner for our anniversary. My husband doesn't like to eat out at the best of times but this time, aside from the wine, I really was disappointed. Not on my go back to list.

The food was excellent We were at the casino for a show and they had 50 bus loads of people We decided to walk over for a nice dinner and they did not let us down! Good service also

Have been going here for almost 20 years. The inside has been remodeled from a classic, authentic Italian restaurant to a modern almost contemporary feel. The food has not changed, it is still the best in town.The mussels are to die for, the sauce is addictive. The service is always very good.

Based on the recommendation of our concierge we went to dinner at this restaurant on a Tuesday night. We had the most delightful server who made some great recommendations from the menu. The food was spectacular. Besides the food and drinks the ambiance of the place was quite charming. It was dark and small and cozy. You felt like you could have been in the Italian countryside. I definitely recommend reservations for a weekend night.

Short walk from the casino, Its just a nice place to get to. Reasonable lunch specials, that are big enough to share/
