Last time I went with a friend I thought it was ok, but the friend thought their sashimi weren't very fresh. Mostly their food is good but their ribs hardly have any meat on them mostly fat. Service is ok, somewhat friendly but another all you can eat sushi place won me over with better menu and service.
This is a no frills all you can eat sushi place that has quick and friendly service. It is the first all you can eat sushi restaurant in the area I ate at several years ago. They now advertise they'll charge you for items not eaten. When we went when it was first created they did not and this was an error on their end as they tried charging us significantly more due to leftovers but didn't announce it anywhere to us beforehand. On this most recent trip in I saw signs saying they do. Good quick service. Fresh food. The spicy crispy white tuna roll is a favorite of mine. If you pay cash it's slightly cheaper so keep this in mind when you go. Good reliable all you can eat sushi restaurant with quick and friendly service. Just eat what you order! Or you'll pay extra. And grab cash first!
We've tried all of the All you can eat Sushi restaurants in Windsor, and this one is our new favourite. The service was the friendliest, and the food was very quick. We went for the lunch buffet, and the menu is usually limited, but it still had everything we wanted. My only suggestion is for the servers to give actual menus - we are sushi lovers, so didn't need descriptions of the rolls, but it's sometimes nice to see the menu and visualize the roll before you choose. Instead they just provided us with sheets of paper to make our selections.Overall, we loved everything - and the spicy salmon is the best in Windsor!
If your looking for an experience full of discrimination and disappointment than Hoi is the place for you. My friends and I just finished a long day of studying and were so looking forward to a nice dinner but unfortunately we experienced something completely different. My one friend that was with us is Jewish therefore there are a lot of items on the all you can eat menu that don't align with her religious beliefs. She politely asked the staff if she could order from the menu since she could barely eat anything from the all you can eat list. The male server (and majority of the other staff) were extremely rude about it and flat out refused. When we asked another female server why she couldn't be accommodated based on religion she said 'well if we accommodate her then we have to accommodate other people as well' but isn't that the point of religious accommodation? They said the only way she could order off the menu is if she sat at a completely different table. It was a ridiculous suggestion. We tried to stay optimistic and stay hoping the service/food would improve but it never did. The service was TERRIBLE. They forgot everything. And it was clear that they were avoiding our table. At the end of the meal when we were paying we were asked how our experience was. We were quite honest and said terrible but the cashier could have cared less. I would NEVER go back here and I will make certain that if anyone asks for a good sushi recommendation in Windsor this will not be on the list.
The food at Hoi is very very enjoyable, we are never disappointed here. The service is as quick as it can be, however you always have to ask servers to fill up your water. They are decently priced for all you can eat, I believe $21.99 for dinner Monday-Thursday and $22.99 Friday-Sunday for dinner. It's in the university area so there are always students there, and parking unfortunately is very limited. I will definitely be dining here again.
