El Mayor Bakery - Windsor

The food quality at El Mayor is always exceptional. The prices are somewhat higher than an exhilarating Lebanese joint, even so I think they deliver a great value. The only disappointment I can do is that they make the best French fries in Windsor, but during the pandemic it was only possible to take them...and we all know what makes packaging and delivery to frits...

Best Lebanese cuisine in Windsor! Everything was fresh and in large quantities. Must taste the humus and rice and then you will know that this place has quality food! Just a stop over this restaurant at dinner. In winter time there is no good seating, as the door opens and closes. FREE wind gust. I usually post photos, but I didn't have time. The food was too good and went fast!

My family came here on a visit to Windsor from London and El Mayor did not disappoint. The food is incredible (fresh, incredible portions, fantastic service as well) I had the bbq platter and I cannot get over how tasty it was, my wife had the falafel pita/sandwich and that was also incredible. We definitely cannot wait to go back!

El Mayor was one of my favourite restaurants before the fire. I was so sorry to see them close. I heard they had reopened, but it was during the COVID lockdown so I didn 't visit them. Today was my first visit to the new location. It was a bit sad to see that the new location was pretty generic in appearance clean and spacious, but with no real hint of the Lebanese soul that had been a big part of the original location 's charm. Thankfully, the food was as good as I remembered and the staff had been retained so it all felt like family again. I hope that, over time, some of the old world charm can be reintroduced to this restaurant by dressing the walls with cultural pieces, but after one visit, it 's already back on my favourites list.

Food tastes nice and fresh, full of lively colors in their salads, the best vegan beans and other choices, full of flavor, and everything at this restaurant is made with healthy quality ingredients. This restaurant has many healthy choices on the menu, including the use of extra virgin olive oil. I LOVE El Mayor!
