What a great little space serving fabulous Italian cuisine.
My husband brought me to the cook shop to celebrate my birthday after we had such a wonderful time last May for our anniversary dinner. My husband enjoyed his dish very much lasagna. My dish on the other hand was extremely disappointing and nothing like when I had the same dish back in May. I ordered the linguine Alfredo, with double shrimp $26 in shrimp). The pasta was FINE but dry. The shrimp was UNSEASONED, and extremely over cooked it was like cutting a steak.Now, I will take responsibility in the fact that I didn 't say anything at the restaurant even though my face said it all). I really wanted to enjoy my birthday dinner and not hinder the experience. I felt very embarrassed to tell the waitress give me double shrimp, It was sooo delicious last time! to then turn around and say this shrimp is unseasoned and over cooked. Take it back Where the restaurant needs to take responsibility is that this dish should have NEVER left the kitchen. I did reach out to the restaurant via Facebook and the response I got was that it 's basically my fault I am unsatisfied. I should have told the waitress and they would have seasoned my shrimp . The owner said he will serve me personally on our next visit.I don 't want nor need to be served by the owner. I would like regular service that one would recieve any time they dine at the cook shop if it 's as wonderful as the experience I had back on May 16.Due to inconsistency and the owners unwillingness to take responsibility for their part of this situation, it 's unlikely that we will be back. It 's extremely unfortunate because MAN, that first time we dined here the food was AMAZING. recieved another message from the owner stating that I am obviously unwilling to come to a solution in this situation I would love to come to a solution with this situation, I think HE doesn 't want to come to a solution and is putting it on me.
Beautiful and cozy, my husband and I had a fantastic night there, perfect for a quiet date, and the food is finger-licking good. The gentleman that helped us was very friendly and polite, he speaks Portuguese and Understand Spanish and talked to us in fantastic manners, I can recall his name but he was great at his job. My favourite food was the dessert it was like an explosion of creamy and toasted coconut in your mouth. 100% recommend.
I don't really celebrate occasions, but tomorrow is my birthday and so I thought it's a good excuse to try out this dining location. Got lucky that they were able to take me in, as long as I arrive by 5:30.I ordered a rack of Australian lamb rack, with half linguine pasta with clam and additional pan seared shrimps. Everything is good. I had my lamb well done. It had crispy sides, which is to my liking. The clams and shrimps taste fresh. All are perfectly flavoured in a way that nothing is overpowering.For dessert, I had tiramisu. It's one of the best if not the best, tiramisu I have had, so far.I was entertained by Jarrett (I heard their name's Jeric, but when I saw the bill, it says Jarrett) and they served me well.Waiting time is reasonable.I read that this is a nice romantic dinner place, so I hope to come back when I finally have a date. ?
