A&W Restaurant - Windsor

Service was good, the place was SO dirty and unorganized. Dirty dishes Piled up so high. Didn't have a clean glass mug too give us with our drinks.

This was next to our hotel and we decided to have supper there as we arrived later in the evening and were somewhat workout from traveling. We used to have several of these back home, but they've all since closed. The restaurant was clean and the staff welcoming. We placed our order and the food arrived just a few minutes after we had taken our seats. The burgers were cooked to perfection and the fries and onion rings were amazing. We all had the root beer served in the frosted mugs and it was just as good as I remembered it. This will definitely be our first stop when we return to Windsor as our son was enamored with it. He talked about it the rest of our trip.

Finally a second all beef burger local I can eat in. A lettuce wrapped burger is gluten free. They not only don't look funny at you when you say no bun but suggest the lettuce wrap.A burger, buddy I think is enough to get a good taste. 2 make a decent meal.

Today is Tues. Dec. 13, 2016 and we came to Windsor on some business and were on our way home and decided at the last moment to stop at this A & W location for a quick late lunch. We have always enjoyed having our once-in-awhile fast food indulgence at A & W because for one the burgers (namely the Teen Burger) tastes like what a burger should and they never serve them all squashed down like most other fast food outlets seem to do. Another reason is that A & W seems to put out discount coupons which allows us to eat much cheaper. They also have a full breakfast menu which we often take advantage of here in our home town of Leamington. One highlight that stands out at this particular location is one individual by the name of LOURDES who apparently is a supervisor. She not only took care of the order counter but spent every spare moment cleaning tables, picking up discarded empty trays and dishes, cleaning the floor areas and straightening chairs. We complimented her on her work and so should everyone else who has the pleasure of being served by her.

Teen burger is the best! Must have with root beer float. Ymmm. They keep this location quite clean. A lot of free parking in a busy area. Just past Walmart on Dougall five minutes off the 401 end.
