I don't like that they have taken out most of the cashiers for self check out. Prices are higher than Sobeys, even though they have a larger variety of food items, prices are still higher only reason I went there is sometimes you'll find something cheaper but on average everything is more expensive.
This is the more pleasant of the two supermarkets in Windsor by a country mile; it was much cleaner feeling than Sobeys even before the recent reno. I would've preferred lower prices than a makeover, but anyway. The selection is pretty good for the size of the town, though the prices are, of course, Loblaws-extortionate, following their campaign of relentless, methodical, and sometimes experimental price adjustments. The one star is for the changes that I presume are being ordered by Loblaws corporate. The regular fencing, annoying one-way gates, loss-prevention hoverers, and grating sirens that humiliate hapless seniors weren't enough I guess, so they've zip tied towering panels of plexiglass to the fences. We are now contained and corralled like the untrustworthy cattle that they evidently think we are. It beggars belief that stopping the amount of theft in a market this small will pay for these changes, especially when you factor in the revenue lost from alienating customers like myself. I'll be sucking up the extra $8 in gas and 40 minutes of my time required for a round trip to New Minas to buy as many things as possible at Walmart, Giant Tiger, and Running Man.
Excellent friendly service. They had every item I went for in stock No long line-up. Nearby cashier stepped over and said I 'm not busy, I 'll pack for you to cashier serving me. No big line up for check out. Super nice people.
I had a great time shopping at this location and the staff were great and friendly
