The Dukes Head - Windsor and Maidenhead

Delicious food, but the portion size of the mains too small for an adult, not sure why considering the price. So consider a starter and/or side. Slow service, we gave up on desert unfortunately, (understaffed? 10 percent service charge is on the receipt, automatically added, so just be aware on that one.

Crispy beef salad and chicken burger was delicious, great sitting outside, looking forward to trying more of the impressive menu!

First time visitors to The Duke at Sunninghill and were pleased with our choice. Service was attentive and thoughtful throughout. The non drivers liked their wine choice. For myself as driver our server put care and attention into making very enjoyable soft drinks and a fresh mint tea. It was great to try a selection of the small plates, the chicken confit bon bons being my favourite. Our daughter enjoyed her steak which was a nice option on a children’s menu. My Wife and my Mother both enjoyed their risotto with chicken. The signature apple pie was tasty too for dessert. Parking was great also. Would recommend and would return.

I don’t tend to leave reviews but I feel compelled to, as the food was absolutely exquisite. I have been here multiple times now and every time is an amazing experience. We’re so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes’ drive away. The food is stunning (with big portion sizes) and great service. Indoors is quite spacious, a beautiful outdoor seating area for when the weather gets hot and plenty of parking spaces right next to the pub. All round this place is elegant with an awesome vibe!
