Contribuiți la feedbackIt’s a takeaway joint with plenty of seating. Looks newsly furbished but lacks any ambience. You order at the counter and find a table. They serve you the food. No fanfare. Severe lack of sauces and condiments which are kept at a central place. You basically need to borrow from someone who is using it at their table and then handover to the next person needing them. Food is quite tasty. Chicken tikka rumali roti was filling and delicious. Meal deal was good value for money.
From the front it looks like an estate agents and for this reason I couldnt really take this place seriously as a place to come for a meal! However on a very cold January evening I was walking past and craving a curry so decided to pop in and give it a chance. First impression after walking in was disappointing as there was nobody to take my order so had to tap on the counter to get their attention and out popped the chef who took my order. They didn't have 2 or 3 of the items on the menu which was really annoying and I was already regretting walking in! After some perseverance I managed to get an order in and after a few short minutes the food was ready. The lamb curry was excellent and was made in a home cooked style and packed full of flavour and none of the thick, creamy sauce you would get in a normal Indian. And for a £5 meal deal its an absolute bargain! I cant speak about the rest of the menu but the lamb curry was delicious! I would recommend the owner of this place to simplify the menu so the food you do have on the menu is always in stock. The opening times are strange as I dont know whether its a lunch or dinner place. I feel this place has an identity crisis and it would be a shame for maidenhead to miss out on this food because of the poor running of the place.
Twice I have been served the incorrect food I ordered as a takeaway. I go back to work and find it’s wrong. I have to eat it as I don’t have time to sort out the correct order. Also, when dining in, it seems a bit clique with owners friends etc. It’s takes a while waiting too. It’s a pity because when they first opened it seemed quicker and friendlier with the lady who was in master chef part of the team. Not sure she is there now.
This restaurant offers an amazing lunch menu with a variety of options including salads, curry, kebabs, burgers, and paninis. The food is fresh and has a unique and authentic Pakistani flavor, which is not commonly found in UK towns and cities filled with commercial Indian cuisine. It is great value for money, with a Curry, Rice or Naan, and a soft drink for only £5.00. The popular Super Food Salad is also delicious, made with quinoa, roasted kale, broccoli, sweet potatoes, pomegranate, pumpkin seeds, and avocado, all prepared by Master Chef Finalist Chef Kaia. If you have not yet visited this place, you must try it out!
I have been here for a take out lunch quite a few times when i am working in Maidenhead. I always go for the Chicken Curry with Rice and a Drink, which is good value at £5. And it is always very tasty!
