Mamma Mia Cafe - Windsor and Maidenhead

Prices are quite high, and portion sizes are very small. Plastic cutlery provided is poor quality forks keep snapping. Young lady inside who served me was very pleasant but the older lady who was clearing tables outside had a look on her face like she’d just been told that her dog had died, and barely even grunted a reply when I attempted an exchange of pleasantries.

2% of the population have a nut allergy, yet so many ice cream places now no longer do chopped nuts, which means 98% of us miss out on the best accessory an ice cream cone can have.Not Mamma Mias though, they give you nuts and then some!The absolute best whippy style ice creams we have had.

Went for a chicken burger and chips. The chicken burger was small, flavourless and expensive. My partner could not purchase food at the cafe due to specific dietary requirements and brought her own food. A member of staff publicly spoke on the cafe loudspeaker requesting her to not eat the food she brought... twice in front of a full outdoor seating area. Very embarrassing experience and poor customer service. Will not be going back.

Only doing take away at present, but this is still the place to eat if you want a good meal at a reasonable price. Mamma mia cannot be beaten. They are still doing a full menu. The staff are really the friendliest in town. If you have room, then the ice-cream is superb. Always excellent food and service.

Quite possibly the worst ice cream (flake 99) ever tasted. It’s an insult to ice creams. I think they know they taste disgusting but probably making maximum profit.
